Career

I have been very fortunate to have had a 25-year career at Caterpillar, Inc. In that time, I have progressed from being a c++ application developer, to factory systems integration, to IT services, to cloud development, to cloud and system architecture, to cloud operations and team manager.

In 2019 Caterpillar relocated me to Colorado and I started an a new manager role at a small office that was (then) home to the system my team supports. About 3 years later, this office was permanently closed (a fallout of Covid) and everyone who worked here was given full-time remote status. My team successfully carried on this way for another 2 years. Unfortunately, due to the implementation of their return-to-office policy, I was presented with the difficult choice to relocate from Colorado to Virginia. Rather than separate from friends and family (including our new grandson! ❤️), I separated from Cat.

As of November 2025, I am on the market for full-time employment. I have a broad range of technical knowledge and experience, but my primary focus is on cloud solutions architecture, cloud services integration, technical project management, and product ownership. I also have 6+ years’ experience as a manager of geographically dispersed teams.
